Daphne Bavelier, PhD

Professor of Brain and Cognitive Science, University of Rochester and University of Geneva

Dr. Bavelier is a Founding Scientific Advisory Board Member of Akili Interactive Labs.  She is an Associate Professor in the Department of Brain and Cognitive Sciences at the University of Rochester and at the University of Geneva.  Dr. Bavelier is one of the leading authorities on studying active component of popular video games.  Her work focuses on brain plasticity and examines the role of experience in shaping the functional organization of the human brain as well as in pushing the boundaries of behavior.  Dr. Bavelier’s work has been published in over 100 publications and has received multiple awards.
